Los Bufones

Los Bufones are cracks and open chimneys in the cliff, where the waves of the sea push the water with great force. This causes jets of sprayed water to form on the surface. The Jesters are located in the limestone rock. On the eastern coast of Asturias we can find several places where these natural phenomena can be observed;Jesters of Pría, Jesters of Arenillas, Jester of Santiuste. The distance from the campsite to the Santiuste jester is 4 km.

Pindal Cave

The Pindal Cave located in Ribadedeva in an environment of singular beauty in the cliffs of Pimiango. It preserves important samples of rock art, among which the figure of a fish and that of an elephant with a heart-shaped spot stand out. It has been declared an asset of cultural interest and is a World Heritage Site. The distance from the campsite is 4 km.

Indianos Archive

The Indianos Archive Museum is located in the town of Colombres, in the Quinta de Guadalupe, a magnificent mansion that represents the Indian style of architecture. It was built by the emigrant to Mexico Iñigo Noriega Laso. The museum is part of the Private Cultural Foundation Archivo de Indianos, dedicated to the study of Spanish emigration to America during the 19th and 20th centuries. The distance from the campsite is 3 km.

Cabárceno Park

The Cabárceno Nature Park is located in Cantabria, 15 km from Santander, located in an old iron extraction mine. In its 750 hectares there are more than 100 species of animals from all continents in semi-freedom. The distance from the campsite is 70 km.

Jurassic Museum

The Muja or Jurassic Museum of Asturias is located in the municipality of Colunga. In the shape of a dinosaur footprint, the museum houses a complete and educational exhibition about these impressive reptiles. The distance from the campsite is 67 km.it is 16 km.

Altamira Cave

The Altamira Cave is located in Santillana del Mar in Cantabria, two kilometers from the urban center of this beautiful and tourist town. It is a natural cavity in which paintings from one of the most important artistic periods of Prehistory are preserved. Called the Sistine Chapel of rock art because of the magnificent paintings it houses. It was declared a World Heritage Site in 1985. Its visit is restricted and the replica can be seen in the Altamira Museum.

El Soplao Cave

The El Soplao Cave, located in the municipalities of Valdáliga and Rionansa in Cantabria, is a unique cavity due to its geological formations that it houses in its 20 km length, although only 4 km are open to the public. It was discovered at the beginning of the 20th century during the exploitation of the Florida mines. Distance from the campsite, 23 km.

Villapresente Labyrinth

The Villapresente Labyrinth, with 5625m2, is the largest labyrinth in Spain and one of the largest in Europe, its average length ranging between 1 and 4 kilometers. It is located 5 minutes by car from the town of Santillana del Mar and the Altamira Cave. Distance from the campsite 48 km.

Sequoia Forest

The Sequoia Forest in Monte Cabezón is located near the town of Cabezón de la Sal in Cantabria. This unique forest, very rare in Spain, covers approximately 2.5 hectares, and is of great interest due to the grandeur of this species, which reaches large dimensions. It is located just 30 km from the campsite.
